What Is Fun & Relaxed Wedding Photography?
For me, fun and relaxed wedding photography isn’t really about photography at all — it’s a wedding that feel authentically you.
Saying fuck you to ‘the rules’, and doing things your way, spending time with the people you love, and enjoying every moment of a your day, rather than worrying about the camera, or what others think.
I won’t spend hours posing you or dragging you away from your guests. I’d much rather capture the real laughter, happy tears, terrible dance moves and all the little moments so that when you’re looking back at your photographs you remember why you were laughing, smiling or crying – not the the big hairy ginger pointing a camera in your face!
Do you only photograph weddings?
While weddings are my main love, and a huge part of what I do, I also photograph couples and families, and events such as: birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, engagements, and just about any occasion worth celebrating.
What if we hate having our photos taken?
We're super awkward, will you pose us?
Is relaxed wedding photography expensive?
How long do you stay on the day?
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
Apparently burying a sausage the night before your wedding keeps the rain away. I can’t promise it’ll work 🤣, but it apparently has a surprisingly good track record!
Otherwise, HAVE THE BEST DAY EVERRRR anyway! 🥳 Remember it takes rain to make a rainbow 🌈, and puddle reflections can make some really cool photos too. Its especially fun if the kids (or you, if you fancy it) are splashing around! If there’s even a hint of rain in the forecast I’ll bring along a cute umbrella for the two of you. I always recommend picking up a few umbrellas in your wedding colours too (from amazon so you can easily return them if not needed).Do we have to have formal wedding photos?
How many formal photos should we have at our wedding?
Can we request specific photos?
That being said, I work best when things are relaxed, organic and natural. I won’t copy another photographer’s work shot-for-shot. Instead, I’ll use those ideas as inspiration to create something that’s unique to you, your venue, and your wedding day.
How Many Photos Will We Receive?
I take thousands of photographs throughout a wedding day, however, I then carefully review them, removing duplicates, test shots, blinks and anything that doesn’t add to the story of your day. What you’re left with is a collection of the very best photographs that capture the moments, emotions and memories that matter most.
The number of images you receive will vary depending on the length of your wedding, the number of guests, how much is happening throughout the day and whether there are multiple locations involved. Most couples receive somewhere between 500 and 1,000 fully edited photographs, but some weddings may result in more or fewer images.

Can we have prints of our wedding photos?
Do You Offer Videography or Work With Videographers?
Whilst I might know my way around a camera, I don’t shoot video. Wedding photography and wedding videography are very different skills, and I firmly believe each deserves a specialist. I know some incredibly talented wedding filmmakers who I love collaborating with and would be very happy to recommend.
If you’ve already booked a videographer, that’s absolutely fine too. We may occasionally want to kill each other for taking the best spot during the ceremony, but we’re professionals and (usually) don’t desend into violence. In reality, we’ll coordinate throughout the day so we’re not getting in each other’s shots or slowing things down. The only thing I’d suggest is allowing a little extra time for your couple portraits, as video naturally takes a bit longer. Other than that, everything stays relaxed and flows smoothly.Should We Choose a Second Photographer or a Videographer?
Can we meet you before we book?
How do we book you?
Are you insured?
Yes! I’m fully insured for £1 million of Public Liability. Most venues never ask to see it, but if they do, I’m happy to provide the paperwork.
I also carry backup equipment to every wedding because, while problems are rare, I’d much rather be over-prepared than under-prepared when it comes to your memories.
