It was such a privilege seeing what started as a long, wonderfully scatty list of (sometimes slightly crazy π€£) ideas during Mary and Scott’s first consultation somehow coming together and being crammed into one unique and memorable day. The really impressive bit? They did pretty much all of this themselves in a friendβs field in South Essex. And because apparently organising a wedding wasnβt enough work, they even managed to have a full-blown car meet too, FFS π€ͺ. BUT THEY ABSOLUTELY SMASHED IT! π
What I loved most was how much of them was woven into every detail. Scottβs love of cars could be seen absolutely everywhere β the beautiful Mark 2 Jag as the bridal car (which only pretended to break down), to the brilliant slot car action provided by Think Scalextric Events, and the Goodwood Revival road signs and show signs dotted around (obviously not stolen, officer! π). My personal highlight? About twenty minutes before he was due at the church, Scott was spotted giving his beloved car one final clean (not even in his suit!!!)
Apparently tree sap βmesses up the paintβ … Some people spend the morning of their wedding writing speeches or calming their nerves, but Scott was polishing his French Blue Evo! π
Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt copied. Nothing felt cookie-cutter. Every detail reflected who they are, and they spent the day doing exactly what they should have been doing: laughing with friends, making memories, and actually enjoying their wedding.
We did still sneak off for a few quiet moments away from everyone else β a cheeky bum squeeze and a frolic around in the long grass, and of course they watched the sunset together β the perfect end to a perfect day, and well…. it’s ORANGE! π§‘π§‘π§‘
